Calendula is a flowering plant native to the Mediterranean region. It is known to reduce skin irritation attributed to its anti-inflammatory properties from the compound faradol. Skin irritation and discomfort is reduced. Calendula is useful in healing wounds, soothing eczema, and also relieving diaper rash. It also has the ability to limit water loss which strengthens the skin.
